Professor of Philosophy & Dean, Faculty of Human & Social Sciences
Mustapha Stambouli University — Mascara, Algeria
Prof. Mohammed Kerd is a Full Professor of Higher Education in Philosophy and the current Dean of the Faculty of Human & Social Sciences at Mustapha Stambouli University, Mascara, Algeria. He has devoted over three decades to the study of philosophy and the exploration of human thought.
His scholarly mission is to foster critical and creative understanding among students and researchers, bridging the classical tradition — in particular the thought of Plato — with modern existentialism, especially the philosophy of Martin Heidegger. His work spans hermeneutics, the philosophy of art, technological rationality, and the intersection of poetry with ontology.
With more than 32 years of academic experience since his appointment in 1991 and active contributions to over 20 national and international conferences since 2009, Prof. Kerd stands as a leading voice in contemporary Arab and Algerian philosophy.

Lecture: « Hegel et Nous »
Prof. Moulfi Mohamed — a leading voice in Hegelian philosophy and postcolonial studies — invites us to revisit Hegel through our own contemporary questions. This conference inaugurates a new series of intellectual encounters at our Faculty.
